All of the musicians listed below do primarily original acoustic music (with a few covers thrown in from time to time).

Cherylann Hawk
Cherylann's an amazing performer and great songwriter. Her page has samples of some of her older plus new songs.

Dae
I can't say enough about Dae or her music...she's simply fantastic. Great original songs and a powerful voice that's sometimes a cross between Stevie Nicks and Gracie Slick.

Mark Lane
Mark is a true poet now splitting his time between Pittsburgh, PA and Golden, CO. Samples on his page.

David Michaels
David is always fun to hear perform since he never plays the same song the same way twice. (Link is to a "friends page" -- his MySpace page is private for some reason.)

Jeff Miller
Jeff is another great talent, originally from Pittsburgh, who is now pursuing his music career in Nashville. He does regular East Coast tours -- check out his music and schedule.

The Primatives
"Folk music that rocks." Great band with original music and a great sound. The Primatives host the 2nd Friday of the month Open Stage at the Coffee Den (another good reason to come out). They have one CD currently available and are finishing up a second. Jesse also offers basic recording for musicians.

Spyer
Spyder also does some great original music. He has 2 professional CDs and is definitely worth checking out. Where he is at any given time is anyone's guess...he travels a lot. His website seems to have disappeared but you can check out his listing on CDBaby.

Music X Spot
A place for musicians to communicate, review equipment, ask questions, etc. Very cool site run by singer/songwriter Dae.

Open Mic Atlanta
Open Mic venues in and around the Atlanta, GA area (organized by Open Mic Entertainment). Come check some of them out. Come out to perform or "audience" and support live, local music.
